Answers to some questions:
Answers to some questions:
• Who uses Estate Sale services?
Executors of an estate, people moving, downsizing, redecorating, businesses that are liquidating, basically anyone who needs to sell the contents of a home or business or just a few items.
• What kinds of things do you sell?
We can sell anything that is legal and safe to be sold; antiques, contemporary and used furniture, collectibles, cars, machinery, horses, everything from junk to diamonds. The more diversity in items of a sale, the better the sale. The more customers you can bring into a sale, the more successful the sale will be.
• How does Bryant Estate Sales prepare a sale?
This depends on the needs of our customer. This can include moving the contents to another location to sell publicly, or calling known buyers privately to sell items.
The preparation for an estate sale usually begins five or more days before the sale dates, depending on the amount of work to be done. We analyze the location and contents to determine how best to show the items we are selling. Then we bring in folding tables, shelving and display cabinets to display the items to be sold. We may unload kitchen cabinets, closets and drawers so that all items can be seen.
After arranging the items to be sold, we price everything, either individually or using signs for large groups of items. Pricing is based on our, and other professionals, knowledge and experience, our reference library, and internet sources.
All advertising is our responsibility. We advertise in the local paper and others if necessary. We also send out e-mail announcements to our subscriber list, and when appropriate, distribute sale flyers.
• How much does your service cost?
Bryant Estate Sales work on a commission basis of 20-30% of the gross sale amount, depending on the sale. The rate will be presented to you before you decide to hire us.
